Unlike short-term solutions that only provide a roof, Cana Village will offer a supportive, thriving community where people can rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.
Spread across 110 acres, the village will feature 500 tiny homes arranged in 12 unique neighborhoods designed to foster belonging. Each resident, whether a single adult or couple, will not just have a safe place to live, but a place to grow, heal, and thrive.
Homelessness in America has reached historic levels. In Houston alone, the numbers continue to climb year after year. Studies estimate that each person living on the street costs taxpayers $40,000–$90,000 per year. And yet, the current system often fails to provide long-term solutions.
On top of that, the criminalization of homelessness leaves many even further behind. Encampment sweeps strip people of IDs, birth certificates, and personal belongings. Tickets and fines that they can’t afford to pay lead to damaged credit, making it nearly impossible to qualify for housing again.
